Harley Quinn originally appeared in the animated series Batman: The Animated Series, created by the duo Paul Dini and Bruce Timm in 1992. The positive reaction of the critic and public regarding the character made it his constant presence in this animation and in the following of Batman, until in 1999 when she was also included in the DC universe of the comics.
Initially as a psychiatrist, then a partner and romantic partner of the insane Joker, she became one of the most iconic Batman villains.
Today in the comics she is portrayed more as an anti-hero, acting as a justice instead of a criminal. It debuted in theaters in the movie Suicide Squadron, introduced in the cinematic universe DC, interpreted by the actress Margot Robbie
